20 September Auction Wrap

I had a jam packed auction day on Saturday, scheduled to call 5 auctions total! Just a taste of the busy times to come as we get right into the spring selling season – and what a season it will be! I had a great time on Saturday and am pleased to say that I got 5 for 5 with my auctions!

I started the day in Doncaster with my colleague Todd Lucas at the lovely 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home at 13 Heyington Avenue. A great crowd gathered to witness the auction, including ABC news! 6 bidders fought to secure the property and I declared it SOLD for $870,100.

Next I was off to 1/60 Harp Road in Kew which was sold for $599,999 – odd numbers seemed to be a theme today! Balwyn North was my next stop, where I fielded bids from 5 parties who were hoping to secure the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home at 13 Moule Avenue. This home sold for $765,000.

I headed off to Surrey Hills for my next auction at 2A New Street, where another impressive crowd gathered. With 7 bidding parties, I knew this one was going to be a big one. Competitive bidding pushed the final selling price well above reserve to $963,000.

My final auction was at 20 Deans Road in Forest Hill, where we saw another 7 bidding parties compete in the hopes of securing the charming 3 three bedroom home. This property also sold well above reserve for $990,000.

It was a busy and rewarding day, I was so happy to see many ecstatic vendors and excited purchasers! The competition between bidders highlights the strength in the market at the moment, and we are sure to see the record breaking spring that has been predicted.
