Auction | 24 Compton Street, Canterbury

The rainy day forced the auction of 24 Compton Street, Canterbury to be called inside the home, but luckily there was coffee on offer and a floorplan that could comfortably accommodate the approximately 100-strong crowd.

Bidding was fast and furious amongst five parties, and the result that was achieved was beyond our vendor’s expectations! It took just 37 bids for the price to reach $1,636,000.

A large crowd braved the windy conditions for the opportunity to secure the blank canvas on offer at the auction of 2 Eley Road in Burwood.

On approximately 868 sqm, the existing home is a classic but the future for the new owners is filled with the possibility of building a five-star residence or townhouse development (STCA).

Five bidders took the auction from the opening bid of $1,200,000 to the final result of $1,570,000. An excellent outcome for our vendors, Anne & Andrew, and the lovely purchasers.

Held inside due to the inclement weather, it was the future potential that the 664 sq m block held that attracted bidders to put up their hands. From a starting bid of $1 million, the bids climbed until an ultimate selling price of $1,330,000 was reached.
